Grain.

I was chatting with Si today about photography. One of the things we were talking about was taking photos that are not technically correct, but more creative in their look. So tonight I went through a couple of the photo’s that I had put in the reject basket and had a bit of a play with them in Adobe Light-room. The first was taken in Darwin and it was a nice shot, but it lacked something, so I had bit of a play and this was the result

The second was a real reject, the focus was soft the sky was blown out and everything else was just bad. But I think that I was able to recover it and make something of it. What do you think?

Action from Darwin

with 2 comments

I realised that I have posted all about the trip to Darwin, but didn’t actually post any shots from the show! So here is one that was taken by Stacey of Sarah and Ollie.
You can see how hot Sarah is looking, so you can imagine how hot I was inside the puppet theatre.

And while I am playing catch up, here are some shots of the crowd, this was obviously for those with young kids, taken during the Dora show.

And spit

Part of the Glenti Greek Festival was olive spitting! It was a very funny event, with six folks up on stage spitting as hard as they could.
Here is a picture of one of the hosts showing how it is done. Apparently it is all in the hips!
