Like A Child
So it has been a couple of days since I posted.
Mainly due to work commitments, actually solely due to work commitments, so here is one of the videos that I have been working on. The orginal (this one) was done by Simon, I have been editing other language versions. But seeing as you can’t read them I will post the English.
it’s time….
It’s time to get the camera out!
Sorry to keep adding pictures from something that happened over two weeks ago, but I have not had a chance to get the camera out and take any decent shots. Hopefully I can change that over the weekend.
But until then you will just have to look at another from the conference in Brisbane. This is Luke who is the senior kids Pastor, also a great worship leaders and guitarist
Oh and for those that care about these things, I am now back on a Mac! Yep i have once again moved over to the light side and am enjoying the delights of using a simple operating system that is easy to use and simple to follow.
The Link!
The drummer is one of the kids leaders, or Pastors at Citipoint church in Brisbane.
I think that puppeteers and drummers have a unspoken link. Anyone who has been in a band knows all the jokes about drummers, mostly due to the amount of gear that they have to carry and the time it takes to set things up. It is the same on the speaking circuit with a puppet theater. Generally a guest speaker only needs a mike and a lecture and can turn up 15 minutes before they are needed, just like the rest of a band. But as a puppeteer I need to be there at least 30minutes before hand and have to get a close to the venue as possible so that I don’t have to carry all the gear to far, just like the drummer.
Oh yeah and the other link is that we are both always at the back hidden!
Last weekend
Last weekend I was in sunny Brisbane at the Ignight08 conference. Si was the keynote speaker, and Waffle was his side kick. I was also asked if I could grab a couple of pictures of the event. Any excuse to get up in front of people and snap a few shots off. I took a fair number and it was a little bit of a challenge to get a good picture due to the low light. The one above was one of my favourites as it shows some action and also has a arty feel to it. What do you think? Oh and I keep forgeting to say if you click on any of the pictures you will get the full size version, which are much nicer, if I do say so……
